Let me put you on to headband wigs...a lazy-girl approved, natural looking, protective style that I will be wearing for years to come! So, I began my natural hair journey in February of 2018 while I was in college. Once I did my big chop (cutting off 5 inches of damaged ends) I spent the next three years researching the best curly hair products, scouting salons that offered the “deva cut” and other natural hair care methods… With the right care, my hair GREW and grew. All of my effort spent moisturizing and caring for my hair was paying off! But for my 21st birthday, I wanted a change without damaging my hair. This is the time when, with my mother’s advice, I discovered natural hair WIGS! For years I had worn my hair straight, and even colored it once, but I grew tired of the damage that would set me back another few years. Luvme’s wigs are the perfect solution for us women who want to switch up our look without causing further heat or color damage to our hair! If you know me at all, you know that I travel a LOT, both for work and for pleasure. However, being a Black woman with natural hair comes with a lot of work, and thinking about how I’m going to wear my hair takes more energy than planning a trip! Since the pandemic began, I just have not had the energy or desire to put a ton of effort into my hair. Thus, I was so thrilled to try Luvme’s luxury virgin hair “Wet and Wavy” wig. This is not just any normal boring wig, either. It is a headband wig, meaning your baby hairs must be on fleek to pull this off. The hair actually looks natural too, which was important to me because I didn’t want to look fake. Can we talk about the hair quality? It is 100% human hair, so it can get wet, have products added to it, and I can even STRAIGHTEN it on occasion (see pictured above). Though the hair texture is so beautiful I prefer not to disturb the natural waves. I have never in my life owned a headband wig, but they are truly lazy-girl friendly. You can also style the hair into a ponytail, high bun, or top-knot (see pictured above)!
